Philippine International Trade Expo and Business Summit

The Philippine International Trade Expo and Business Summit will be held from 13-16 December 2006 at the Hawaii Convention Center, USA.
The Expo and Summit, organized by the Filipino Centennial Celebration Commission, in cooperation with the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii (FCCH) in partnership with major government agencies and business organizations in Hawaii and in the Philippines, are the culmination of year-long activities marking the 100th year presence of Filipinos’ migration in Hawaii.

Aside from showcasing the country’s products and services to the US market and other prospective foreign partners, another significant output of this upcoming event is the possible adoption of business proposal/s by the Filipino-American chambers of commerce, business organizations and/or individuals to stimulate collaborations between Philippine and US business sectors. To be presented during the Summit, these business opportunities are those that require further development such as technical assistance, market development, venture capital, etc. before market debut.

The Philippines-USA Business Club (PUBC) is assisting the FCCH in coming up with a menu of specific business potentials for dissemination to the Filipino-American chambers ahead of the Summit to determine their level of interest and/or feedback from this list. It will feature specific business proposals which require further development such as market improvement, technical assistance, etc which can be enhanced and implemented in collaboration between Filipino-American and Philippine business groups.

The Philippine International Trade Expo and Business Summit will draw together PCCI members, local chambers of commerce, various industry associations and the Filipino-American chambers in the US through plenary sessions and workshops on Medical Tourism/Real Estate, Import/Export Business and Business Process Outsourcing, to mention a few.
