  2. About Dayo:

I watched Dayo, mainly because my youngest is currently preoccupied with elementalya...and so off to the theater in Sta. Lucia where Dayo was being shown last December. I know Choi would be among the voices so I went to watch it. At first, it gave the impression that it was going to be a boring movie (ho hum), mainly because it was an animated film (PALA!). But as the movie unfolded, it became a thing of curiosity and later a very entertaining one. My husband's favorite dialogue was: "Now na now na now na now na?". Anyway, for a Philippine animated movie, I'd say "we have come a long way"...it was a great Filipino anime albeit not a perfect one. Well, it would have been perfect if not for the genie-like (genie in Aladdin) character (i think one of the alalays), making it a not so original creation. Even the dropping of the jaw as seen in the first Aladdin movie where Jasmine, feigning love for the evil magician declared her love (which the magician wished from the genie and which the genie said to Aladdin at the very start that he could never make anyone fall in love)...but for that, it would have been perfectly sooo pinoy. Congratulations!
