Big press launch for "Dyesebel, Marian Rivera is the new Queen of GMA-7


There's no mistake that GMA-7, has done everything to make sure that the grand launching of Dyesebel yesterday would be an unforgettable one. The launch was held at Sofitel Hotel in Roxas Blvd. The cast was with their costumes and there were mermaids swimming on the pool while cast were being introduced.

Marian was overwhelmed by the tremendous support that the fans, the press and her home network GMA-7 in making "Dyesebel" the most anticipated telefantasya series.

"Nagpapasalamat po kami dahil sa tulong-tulong po ng lahat ng tao na mai-launch ang Dyesebel, na ito ay naging successful. Siguro dahil din po sa lahat ng mga tao talaga na tumutulong at sumusuporta sa amin."

Marian doesn't want to think about the pressure of leveling or even surpassing the success of "Marimar".

"Ayoko na pong isipin ang pressure," sagot ni Marian. "Ang iniisip ko na lang po, kung paano po ba namin mapapaligaya ang mga tao tulad ng sa Marimar. Actually, noong pinanood namin ang MTV, kinilabutan talaga kami na, "Wow, sobrang ganda talaga!"


According to Marian, the character of Dyesebel is very different from Marimar's personality.

"Sobrang ibang-iba po talaga! Ang layo, e. Si Marimar, parang inosente; 'eto [Dyesebel], sobrang pilya niya na makulit, although may alam siya."

Marian admits that, she is not sure if the people could easily adjust in seeing her as "Dyesebel" rather than "Marimar".

"Ayokong sabihin na oo o hindi. Basta ang priority namin ni Dingdong ay mapaligaya ulit ang manonood, na magustuhan nila kami as Fredo and Dyesebel."

Despite Marimar's success and her role as "Dyesebel" , doesn't consider herself as the new Queen of the Kapuso Network

"Ay, ayoko pong sabihin na reyna ng GMA! Siguro po ang makakapagsabi niyan ay ang mga tao na lang. Pero hindi po mahalaga sa akin kung ako yung reyna or prinsesa ng GMA. Ang importante sa akin, marami kaming napapaligayang tao at bawat trabahong ginagawa namin ay sinusubaybayan ng mga tao. Yun ang pinakamahalaga sa akin," pagtatapos niya.
